Three years ago, as part of its annual fundraising art auction, Art with Heart, the HIV/AIDS hospice Casey House in Toronto initiated a series of affordable multiples by noteworthy emerging Canadian artists. Previous works included a sculptural lapel pin by Toronto artist Julie Moon and a mobile by the Montreal-based collective BGL. This year, Winnipeg-based artists Michael Dumontier and Neil Farber, who were founding members of the internationally exhibited Royal Art Lodge, produced a print that is haunting and dream-like. In addition, the artists have drawn the snakes’ tongues in by hand, which makes each print subtly unique. For more information, visit www.artwithheart.ca.
